In this project the main goal was the relocation and interrelatedness of 3 companies within the same space so we found the ideal area of 460 m2 in a building located in western Mexico City. The remodeling and construction of Corporate R began with a great advantage, because 3 of the building facades are made of glass and this allowed the project to maximize the advantage of having natural light in all the areas.
The reception greets users and visitors with a perfect balance of the following materials: white pencil marble, black granite and engineering oak wood resulting in a sober space with simple lines according to the contemporary image needed for the company. Based on these characteristics the operative area was done in an open space plan and it is located in the heart of the office. All the installations and AC were left apparent creating a more ample space.
The facade facing the main street —the building access— was used to organize the meeting areas, a round table for 6 people and a larger room for 12 people at the end, being these only closed rooms by means of a wooden structure of oak and textured glass. A waiting room was designed at the entrance of this area, that is also used as library or casual collision area for the internal team making the most of the space.
In the design workshop a work room was included with a high concrete and wood table surrounded by paint sketch board walls. Towards the rear facade the director’s area was located being the most quite area facing to a private street with a nice tree-covered view. The 4 offices have engineering oak wood oil finished combined with walls and furniture in a neutral gray range.
In the central part, services such as bathrooms, storage, site and lunch room were located. The lunch room has a double function, since it can also function as a larger area for internal training and meetings. The materials used were modular carpet, engineering oak floors, porcelain and glass. The color palette is focused on neutral gray and its wide range with bright aqua blue and yellow accents bringing dynamism to the overall environment.
