Design of the showroom is based on a hinged construction, which is created in the manner of a cut of clothes and corresponding to the stylistic trends of the brand. Suspended ceiling smoothly flows onto the wall and fitting room, creating a one-piece dynamic silhouette, this allowed to place a fitting room, cash register area, warehouse in a small room, and it also helped to hide the problem areas of the old interior.
The ceiling, shelves and dressing room are permeated with a structure of steel pipes playing the role of hangers.
This is the project of the first showroom for a Russian clothing brand that creates clothing for young people. The main tasks were to make the project inexpensive to implement and hide all the shortcomings of the existing small room.
Design of the showroom is based on a hinged construction, which is created in the manner of a cut of clothes and corresponding to the stylistic trends of the brand. To hide the room’s flaws in the old office building, an OSB slab suspension structure was used. The steel pipe system enhances the dynamics of the hinged structure and acts as hangers for clothes.
Developing the project of the showroom “HIDEOUT 7”, I worked mainly with the form and its visual distortion, and not with the decor. Therefore, in the old walls we see a new dynamic volume, against which clothes are presented. It seems that the room has become larger and more airy, despite the fact that we have placed more rails.
