Wealth Management firm Saranac Partners appointed Oktra to establish their first lease held office in London. They were initially in a serviced space that did not support their expansion plans.
Working with their internal steering group and project manager our workplace specialists conducted several workshops to gain an understanding of their likes, dislikes and overall business development strategy. They wanted a high specification office fit out with a boutique residential feel. They asked Oktra to create a calm, serene and welcoming space.
The new office consists of flexible meetings spaces, a high specification reception and open plan working areas. As front of house and client entertaining is important to Saranac so Oktra created two main external meeting rooms that also function as dining spaces. Oktra installed statement dimmable lighting and used hotel like interiors to create a relaxed atmosphere. High quality furniture from reputable suppliers such as Knoll, Vitra and Carl Hansen was installed along with a number of bespoke tables and credenzas. Oktra created a large break out area with generous storage and catering facilities to support client events and dinners. The flexibility of the space allows staff to meet, socialise, eat and conduct informal meetings.
The designers used a neutral colour palette of soft, warm tones throughout. Materials were chosen to enhance the impression of quality and give the space a sense of serenity. No shiny materials or bright colours were used and colour was introduced only in artwork. The end result is solid and timeless, with a hint of understated luxury.
The logistics of this fit out were somewhat challenging as the building was fully occupied making aspects of the noisier work difficult. Oktra devised a programme that worked around existing tenants to minimise disruption and ensure all occupants remained happy.
